Standing in the shadow of something. Thinkin' my life was a lie, open up the window. No their ain't no reason to cry. Ain't no reason to cry No there ain't no reason to cry. Thought that I was climbing a mountain. But I'm really doing a backslide. Lord can't you help me find something That can make me feel better inside, Make me feel better inside. Time goes by walking to fast down the road. Take some time to decide what you're told. Time goes by leaving you lonely feeling cold. Why should I worry if I"m only growing old? Standing by the edge of the ocean. Where water meets the sky. Waves roll in constant motion. Walk on water, I think I'll try. Walk on water, I think I'll try. Walk on water, I think I'll die. I gotta' start believing in something. Other than that we're living to die. Somethings better than nothing. And there ain't no reason to cry. No there ain't no reason to cry. Ain't no reason to cry. No there ain't no reason to cry.

At The Time 04:09
Looked down the barrel of a loaded gun, Laid naked for hours in the hot hot sun, Gave the finger to a group of nuns, Told my girl she was the only one. Went slam dancing in the china shop, Spit in the face of a traffic cop, Put the pedal to the floor when the sign said stop, After one shoe fell I waited for the other to drop. Because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Lookin' back, now I'm not so sure in my mind. But it seemed like a good idea at the time. Ooooooh a good idea at the time. I said yeah you do look fat in that, Borrowed the monkey off my neighbors back, Stole a piece of rail from the railroad track, The noose was loose so I took up the slack. Drank a fifth of Jack got behind the wheel, Drove a hundred miles an hour in a cage of steel, Stopped taking drugs because it felt too real, I told everybody how I really feel. Because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Lookin' back, now I'm not so sure in my mind. But it seemed like a good idea at the time. Ooooooh a good idea at the time.

Where did you get that million dollar smile? Why don't you sit and we'll talk for a while. I can see you've been searching for your Mr. Right. As luck would have it that's my name tonight. Bartender bring us your best champagne. I know you you are but I don't know your name. I'm quite a good listener so tell me what's wrong, Perhaps I can fix it or help you along. Thank you for dancing, dancing with me, Dancing the con man waltz, You dance very well, but it's not meant to be, Dance the con man waltz. Another bottle my friend, make it your best this time, The last on ewe drank was like cheap apple wine. Beautiful lady if I come on too strong, forgive the intrusion, I've been down so long. That bracelet you're wearing shines like your eyes, When you wake up without it you won't be surprised. So raise up your glass for a toast between friends, You don't realize your a means to an end. Thank you for dancing, dancing with me, Dancing the con man waltz, You dance very well, but it's not meant to be, Dance the con man waltz. (x3) Where did you get that million dollar smile?

Reverie 05:24
You came around the corner and our eyes met. Even after all this time I had nothing to say. You stopped for just a moment There was something in your eyes. I quickly took you in which seemed to take your breath away. The air is turning cold while I think of you, Never knew for sure whether you felt another way, Casting fleeting glances toward another girl, because the way she looks is like the way you did that day. Lift me up on a pedestal of reverie. Or strike me down that I no longer see. But tell me please before you get the best of me. Can I be everything that you'll ever need? Paging through my mind and I can see your face. A million miles away but still the same. The way that you appeared within my time and space. Do I have to wait for so long until we meet again? Lift me up on a pedestal of reverie. Or strike me down that I no longer see. But tell me please before you get the best of me. Can I be everything that you'll ever need?

Superman drank one after another. Sitting alone with friends at the bar. Behind the bar they said to each other, "You get his keys and I'll find his car." Superman looked up shocked to discover. Bartender saying you can't have no more Indignant it brought back thoughts of his mother. Who in the fuck do you think you are? I feel like a million dollars. Just drinkin' here all alone. I been waiting on you for hours. Just to come and take me home. Every action has a reaction. Superman said as he walked out the door. I'm perfectly fine he said as his traction. Left him behind and he fell to the floor. Superman smiled as he regained his senses. He sate for a while on the cold tile floor. A bump to his head relaxed his defenses What was the waitress eying him for? I feel like a million dollars. Just drinkin' here all alone. I been waiting on you for hours. Just to come and take me home.

Ghostrider 05:11
Gostrider takes off into the night sky High above the world that left him shamelessly to die. Working for his penance for the way he lived his life, Can you feel his spirit soaring high. He lived out on a dirt farm his family by his side. He couldn't find a job the family fell into hard times. The bank refused him the money and the well was runnin' dry, But he couldn't let his family see him cry. So fly Ghostrider fly. So high into the sky. Fly ghostrider fly. Fly. He lost one child to sickness, His wife to suicide, happened on a stranger, Who was just passin' by, offered him a bed, just a place to stay the night, Slipped in and took one dollar for his life, The stranger left unnoticed, no thank you or goodbye. He took the last long dollar bought some water and some rice. To feed his starving children He had nothing but one bite. Then he got picked up for his crime. So fly Ghostrider fly. So high into the sky. Fly ghostrider fly. Fly. He spent his life in jail for just trying to get by. He left his starving family out to beg just to survive. They put him on his horse around his neck a noose was tied. They sent that horse a runnin' and he died. So fly Ghostrider fly. So high into the sky. Fly ghostrider fly. Fly.

Dream 04:24
Don't know where you came from baby, Don't know where you been. Dreamt that we were in a film and I was Errol Flynn. Took a freight train headed west in search of my true love, Came upon a haunted place that you were thinkin' of. Mysteries like fallen trees are scattered 'neath my feet. Everywhere I go is just another place to be. Arrows through my heart are bleeding out all over me. If only I could find my own true love to set me free. If only I could find my own true love to set me free. Went into the darkened cave that opened from the ground. I couldn't see the treasure underneath the blackness found. Listened to a siren song that spoke of my true love. It burned my eyes to look toward the light came from above. Arrows through my heart are bleeding out all over me. If only I could find my own true love to set me free. If only I could find my own true love to set me free. The floodgates have been opened, The clocks have all been wound. If there is just one way to go is it up or is it down. Just one look into their heart the answer lies within. Pandora locked them all away, But the box is full again. Arrows through my heart are bleeding out all over me. If only I could find my own true love to set me free. If only I could find my own true love to set me free. Mysteries like fallen trees are scattered 'neath my feet. Everywhere I go is just another place to be. Arrows through my heart are bleeding out all over me. If only I could find my own true love to set me free. If only I could find my own true love to set me free. (x4)

White Noise all around, Perception based on sight and sound, Build on solid ground, Don't let the world tear you down. Stuck nowhere to go, Same old song on the radio, They act like they don't know, It's the same fucking song I heard an hour ago. Head tuck in a box, Ramblin' about the price of stocks, Pictures meant to shock, Who gives a shit when this guy talks. Nothin but static (That's all I hear). Mediocrity (Fills my ears). Society (Confirms my fears). Nothin but static (All right). Nothin but static (All night). Nothin but static (All right). Nothin but static (All night). Ad man says buy mine, The phone keeps ringing at dinner time, Voices on the line, Can tell you all about the crap you're buying. Down a crowded street, Barefoot pavement burns my feet, Bums want money to eat, Everybody else too busy to greet. Working way past five, To get ahead you kiss ass and drive, to be the one to dive, Man is that what you call alive. Nothin but static (That's all I hear). Mediocrity (Fills my ears). Society (Confirms my fears). Nothin but static (All right). Nothin but static (All night). Nothin but static (All right). Nothin but static (All night).
